Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in
Beijing
Upon arrival at Beijing Airport, our guide will pick you up and
transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Day 2: Beijing
Begin to explore Beijing from paying a visit first to the largest
and grandest square in the world – Tiananmen Square. As walking
through the square, you will come to the magnificent Forbidden City,
the biggest palace complex in the world. Then, you will hop on a
rickshaw to ride through the narrow alleys for a Hutong Tour, and
pay a visit of a local family as well as have the lunch with local
neighborhoods. Then go on to appreciate the fantastic Summer Palace,
the biggest and best-preserved imperial garden so far. (B+L)
Day 3: Beijing
The sightseeing today starts from exploring the great Temple of
Heaven where emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties had worshipped
heaven and prayed for good harvest. Afterwards, you will be guided
to the snaking Mutianyu Great Wall, an uncrowded section of great
wall with comfortable round trip cable car to take and picturesque
scenery to enjoy. As for lunch, it will be offered at an elegant
restaurant at the foot of the Great Wall. At night, the dinner is
arranged to let you taste mouthwatering and authentic Peking Duck. (B+L+D)
Day 4: Beijing-Xian
After breakfast, take a chance to have a close view of the Bird's
Nest and Water Cube on the way to Beijing 798 Art Zone where you
will be able to touch the unique sense of culture and have lunch on
your own. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport
for a flight to Xian. Upon your arrival at Xian, your local guide
will meet you at airport and then transfer to the hotel. The rest of
the day is left on your own.
Once was the military-industrial factory complex since early 1950's,
Beijing 798 Art Zone has more than 200 art & culture galleries.
Meanwhile, it is often compared with New York's Greenwich Village.

Day 5: Xian
The highlight of the tour today lies in the world-shaking
Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses where you might be shocked by the
rows of life-size warriors in order. After a local featured dainty
lunch, drive back to the hotel and passing by the Big Wild Goose
Pagoda – the sign of ancient Xi'an. Make a stop and choose the best
angle to view this "Leaning Tower of China", you will also be amazed
by those exquisite architectures and sculptures on the two sides of
the square in the front of the pagoda. (B+L)
Day 6: Xian
Pay a visit to Xian City Wall (Bicycle Riding on the wall is
included) and the Great Mosque. After lunch, drive you to the
Shaanxi History Museum, which houses a variety of ancient antiques.
As for the dinner, you can taste the delicious local dishes and
snacks by yourself. (B+L)
Day 7: Xian-Lhasa
Take a flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, you will be picked up at the
airport and transferred to the hotel. You have to take a good rest
so as to adapt yourself to the high altitude of Lhasa. (B+D)
Day 8: Lhasa
Today's sightseeing tour starts with a visit to Potala Palace, a
holy place in Tibetan culture and the highest ancient palace in the
world. After lunch, go to visit the Jokhang Temple, the most sacred
monastery and spiritual center of Tibet and Bhakhor Street, a
circular bustling bazaar surrounds Jokhang Temple, as well as the
Lhasa Nunnery. (B+L)
Day 9: Lhasa
The highlights of today's tour include Norbulingka, the summer
palace of the Dalai Lama and Sera Monastery, one of the 'great
three' Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet in which monks debate
the philosophy of Buddhism. (B+L)
Day 10: Lhasa-Shanghai
In the morning, our guide will take you to visit the Tibet Museum
which houses a permanent collection that celebrates the history and
culture of Tibet. After lunch, you'll be transferred to airport and
take flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be
picked up at the airport and transferred to the hotel. (B+L)
Day 11: Shanghai
Pay a visit to Shanghai Museum and the Bund which is well-known for
the gallery of international architecture. After lunch, head to the
Yuyuan Garden, a famous ancient garden and the Yuyuan Market nearby
where you will have a chance to see lots of Shanghai handicrafts and
exquisite souvenirs displayed on stalls. Afterwards, visit the
Tianzifang, a Shanghai-featured alleys full of diverse styles of
shops and crafts. (B+L)
Day 12: Depart from Shanghai
Free time until you transfer to the airport for your homeward /
onward flight. (B)
